Spirit Airline Plans to Bring in Thousands of New Employees This Year

Last week, Spirit Airlines announced its plans to hire more than 4,000 new employees this year. The new hires will include Pilots, Flight Attendants, Aviation Maintenance Technicians plus more, according to a press release.

Linde Grindle, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Spirit Airlines, explained, “We’re welcoming thousands of new Spirit Family Members across our network this year and have a broad range of positions available for people with all different interests, talents and experience levels.” She added, “Joining one of the fastest-growing airlines means our Team Members have more opportunities to gain fun travel perks, advance their career goals and enable people to travel more often, to more places.”

The release states that Spirit anticipates receiving more than two dozen new planes this year which will need new staff. Spirit also added nine new cities to its routes and plans to keep growing this year.

The company will be holding five recruitment events this year to aid the process of hiring new employees. Two events will be held in Las Vegas, one in Chicago and two in Miramar, Florida, all across the month of April.
