Some Taylor Swift Fans Might Get a Second Chance at Scoring Tickets

Some Taylor Swift Fans Might Get a Second Chance at Scoring Tickets

After the first sale period for Taylor Swift’s “The Era’s Tour” triggered a major backlash, Ticketmaster announced there might be hope for some fans who were not able to purchase a ticket.

Ticketmaster announced on Monday that at the request of Swift’s team, some fans might have a limited opportunity to purchase tickets. To receive the email invitation, fans must have previously registered as “verified.”

According to CNN, this is the process of the second-chance ticket sale: “Fans will receive a summary of their purchase and an email after the request window closes to let them know if their request has been confirmed. Once the fan’s request is confirmed, their card will be charged and they will receive instructions on how to claim the tickets.”

Additionally, “While tickets aren’t guaranteed, Ticketmaster said it would try its “best” to provide verified fans with an additional option to get tickets if the particular price range that the fan requested is unavailable.”

The second-chance ticket sale announcement comes after over a dozen fans filed a lawsuit against Ticketmaster and its parent company alleging “unlawful conduct.”

The lawsuit claimed, “Ticketmaster and its parent company were anti-competitive, imposing higher prices on fans in the presale, sale and resale market. It claims Ticketmaster forced concertgoers to exclusively use its site and controlled all registration and access to Swift’s “The Eras Tour,” per CNN.
