Popular Clothing Brands like Vans and North Face Experience Disruption from Cyberattack

VF Corp., the company that owns popular clothing brands including the North Face, Vans and Timberland, was hit with a cyberattack last week that is disrupting its ability to fulfill orders ahead of Christmas. 

According to a regulatory filing by VF Corp., “unauthorized occurrences” were detected on the company’s information technology systems and disrupted its “business operations by encrypting some IT systems, and stole data from the company, including personal data.” 

Although the attack has affected the company’s ability to fulfill orders, customers are still able to place them online. They will, however, be met with a warning sign on the brand’s websites about “logistical disruptions” that could affect delivery dates, CNN reported.
