Entenmann’s Brings Back ‘Iconic’ Packaging

Entenmann’s Brings Back ‘Iconic’ Packaging

The cellophane window packaging is coming back to the baked goods company, Entenmann’s, and customers could not be happier.

The company reportedly always planned on returning to its signature packaging after a two-year absence due to flood damage at a factory that produces the packages, per CNN. “Entenmann’s is thrilled to return to our iconic window boxes. We are happy that time has arrived and love that our consumers are excited as well,” the company said in a statement.

The damaging floods from Hurricane Ida “destroyed 5,000 tons of packaging inventory and caused critical damage to the machinery that produces the cartons and boxes” Entenmann’s said. The company has resulted in providing an image of the product on the package or using clear clamshell packaging as a “temporary solution,” CNN reported.

Customers were reportedly upset that they no longer could get a glimpse of their goods through the box. One twitter user passionately wrote, “THEY REMOVED THE YUM YUM WINDOW FROM ENTENMANN’S POUND CAKE!?!” in reference to the signature packaging. Fans of Entenmann’s will be pleased to know the iconic packaging will soon return.
