DirecTV Reaches Multi Year Deal to Offer ‘NFL Sunday Ticket’ to Business Customers

Last week, DirecTV reached a multiyear agreement with EverPass Media to continue to provide the NFL’s “Sunday Ticket” package to business customers.

Earlier this year, the NFL sold the “Sunday Ticket” commercial rights to EverPass Media, which is jointly owned by private equity firm RedBird Capital Partners and the NFL.

According to CNBC, the deal is effective for the 2023 season and “gives DirecTV the ability to use its network of satellite TV installations to connect sports bars, casinos, restaurants and hotels throughout the U.S. with “Sunday Ticket,” just as it has in previous years.”

“Sunday Ticket” is the NFL’s out-of-market Sunday afternoon package solely provided by DirecTV. Bars and restaurants reportedly rely on “Sunday Ticket” to draw in large crowds to watch games that they can’t watch at home.

DirecTV’s Chief Sales and Service Officer, Mike Wittrock, said in a release that his company services more than 300,000 commercial establishments.
