Clorox Recall: Millions of Bottles of Cleaner Pose Bacteria Risk

Clorox Recall: Millions of Bottles of Cleaner Pose Bacteria Risk

All-purpose cleaner is expected to eliminate bacteria, not spread it.

Around 37 million bottles of Pine-Sol cleaning products have been recalled due to the risk of containing bacteria harmful to individuals with compromised immune systems.

No injuries have been reported yet.

According to CNN Business, the following products have been recalled:

    • Pine-Sol scented multi-surface cleaners (lavender clean, sparkling wave and lemon fresh scents)
    • CloroxPro Pine-Sol all-purpose cleaners (lavender clean, sparkling wave, lemon fresh and orange energy scents)
    • Clorox Professional Pine-Sol lemon fresh cleaner

The Pine-Sol products potentially containing the harmful bacteria were made between January 2021 and September 2022. “They were sold on Amazon and at several national retailers such as Walmart, Target, Sam’s Club, Kroger and Dollar Tree,” noted CNN Business.

Customers who possess Pine-Sol products with a code printed on the bottle beginning with “A4” and followed by a five-digit number less than 22249 should throw them away. A new website has been set up to issue refunds.
