Apple Introduces MacBook Pros with M2 Pro and M2 Max Chips

On Tuesday, Apple introduced new 14- and 16- inch MacBook Pros that can be purchased with the latest M2 Pro or M2 Max chips. The Mac mini computer will also be updated with the M2 or M2 Pro chips.

The M2 Pro and M2 Max chips are the most powerful processors for MacBooks and the Mac mini. According to Apple, “With M2 Pro and M2 Max, MacBook Pro is capable of transforming pro workflows across a wide range of disciplines, from art to science to app development.”

Additionally, “Users looking to upgrade from Intel-based Mac models will experience even more dramatic improvements in performance, battery life, connectivity, and overall productivity. MacBook Pro also maintains performance whether users are plugged in or on battery.”

According to CBNC, in 2022, Mac revenue was up 25% year over year at $10.85 billion. However, the new computer models are hitting the market when consumers are more likely to spend cautiously due to inflation.

All new models will be available and in stores on January 24, but customers can pre-order the computers now.
