Three New Microsoft Surface Computers Available This Month
On Wednesday, Microsoft introduced three new surface computers: the Surface Laptop 5, the Surface Pro 9 convertible tablet and the Surface Studio 2+ all-in-one PC.
All three computers will be available in select markets as soon as Oct. 25 and in additional markets in the following months. The computers will operate with the Windows 11 system.
According to CNBC, here are the main features of the new devices:
The Surface Studio 2+
This pricey all-in-one desktop PC starts at $4,300. It has a 28-inch touchscreen and an 11th-generation Core H-35 processor. Users can split the screen into four different app windows at once. Dolby Vision IQ enhances the viewing experience for streaming while Dolby Atmos upgrades the audio quality.
The Surface 5 Laptop
This portable laptop is the updated version of last year’s. It comes with 12th-generation Intel Core processors. Users can choose between purchasing a 13.5-inch model or a 15-inch model, both with touchscreens. The Surface 5 Laptop has a battery life of 17 hours and prices range from $1,000-$2,400, depending on storage.
The Surface Pro 9
This device is a cross between a laptop and a tablet. It also runs on an Intel 12th-generation processor, which is believed to be “considerably faster” than the 11th-generation processor. The Surface Pro 9 5G model has an impressive battery life of up to 19 hours and the Surface Pro 9 on Intel silicon has up to 15.5 hours of battery life. Additionally, the device has a 13-inch display and comes with a 120Hz display.
