Starting on June 27th, Paramount Plus subscription prices will go up as part of the company’s integration with Showtime.
Currently, Paramount Plus has two separate premium plans, one without Showtime that costs $9.99 per month and another one with Showtime that costs $11.99 per month. Starting next month, subscribers will no longer have access to just Paramount Plus content and ad-free streaming without Showtime, however, the essential plan without Showtime and with ads will remain.
The integration will be rebranded as Paramount+ with Showtime and feature original series from both networks like “Yellowjackets,” “Dexter,” “Yellowstone,” and “Criminal Minds.”
According to CNBC, “The combined platforms will also help cut down on content spending, which has been a recent focus for media companies as they look to make streaming profitable.”
Warner Bros. Discovery just recently announced that it is also combining two streaming services, HBO Max and Discovery+ to create one service called Max. Discovery+ will still remain as a standalone service.
