Mercedes Launches New Electric Model

Mercedes-Benz has just launched an electric vehicle model concept with a higher range than any Tesla model.

The new concept, called CLA Class, was unveiled on Sunday at the IAA Mobility auto show in Munich. It included four new models: “a sedan, a station wagon and two SUVs. The company did not specify when exactly they would enter production,” CNN reported.

Each of the new vehicles will reportedly have a range of more than 466 miles with just one charge, topping Tesla’s max range of just under 375 miles.

With Electric Vehicle competition growing, BMW also revealed a new electric model at the show that has a longer range and faster charging. Although BMW’s model was still in the concept stage, the carmaker revealed the new models would use newly developed battery cells that can store over 20% more energy than the batteries BMW was previously using.
