The well-known weight loss brand, Jenny Craig, will be revived this fall completely online.
In May, Jenny Craig reportedly “went bust” after more than 40 years in business according to CNN. Competition from trendy diets and a rise in the use of weight loss drugs like Ozempic and Mounjaro are to blame.
One major component of Jenny Craig’s revival is the program will be completely online, its weight loss centers will not be reopened. However, according to the company, it will still deliver the “same delicious food and personalized coaching that millions of Jenny Craig customers have come to know and love.”
Nutrisystem’s parent company, Wellful, will be in charge of rebooting Jenny Craig and the company’s CEO, Brandon Adcock, insists that its e-commerce supply chain will be able to deliver products to customers quickly and easily.
Jenny Craig will remain an independent brand and will be managed within Wellful’s portfolio.
