Starting April 3, Chick-fil-A will no longer be offering the side side as a menu option.
The side salad has been a part of Chick-fil-A’s menu for more than a decade and customers are sad to see it go. According to Chick-fil-A’s website, the side is composed of “a fresh bed of mixed greens, topped with a blend of shredded Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheeses and grape tomatoes. Prepared fresh daily. Served with charred tomato, crispy red bell peppers and choice of.”
The removal of the side salad is a way for the company to “simplify” its menu. Chick-fil-A said it will increase the size of the Kale Crunch side to large, serving as a potential substitute for the side salad, Fox Business reported.
Chick-fil-A recently announced customers at select locations would be offered a plant-based sandwich made with cauliflower. The sandwich features a “tender filet cut” of cauliflower that is marinated and breaded with the chain’s special seasonings, then pressure cooked.
