Bud Light is trying to make a comeback for its brand with a new marketing campaign.
The beer company faced a major controversy after partnering with transgender influencer, Dylan Mulvaney. The campaign, which included Mulvaney posing with a custom can of Bud Light, angered people all across the board. “…right-wing media and anti-trans commenters on social media unleashed a fury of negative and hateful attention on the brand. The company’s lackluster response also angered LGBTQ+ advocates,” CNN reported.
The new campaign, which debuted on Youtube on Thursday, features the 1979 disco hit “Good Times” by the band Chic and shows people experiencing pain points of summer while enjoying Bud Light.
Bud Light also has a broader summer ad campaign that includes “partnerships with country singers to bring concerts to fans’ backyards and new ads featuring NFL players, including Travis Kelce and Dak Prescott, set to roll out in a few weeks,” per CNN.
