Apple Increases Prices on Subscription Fees
Apple subscribers were hit with an increased subscription fee on Monday for Apple TV+, Apple Music and Apple One…are you surprised?
Rising prices have dominated the news this year and we have seen a price increase on almost everything.
Access to Apple TV+ now costs $6.99 compared to the previous price of $4.99 per month. Apple TV has a smaller library of content yet is still priced lower than competitor Disney+, which starts at $7.99 per month. However, Apple TV+ now appears to be in direct competition with Netflix which starts at $9.99 per month but has an ad-supported tier in the making starting at $6.99 per month.
Monthly access to Apple Music also increased to $10.99 per month from the previous price of $9.99. Spotify, Apple Music’s competitor, is now officially the cheaper music streaming option with its subscription price starting at $9.99 per month.
Additionally, Apple also raised the entry-level cost for Apple One which previously cost subscribers $14.95 and now costs them $16.95. Apple One combines Apple services into one subscription as well as adds more storage for each user.
