Walmart Expands Netflix Hub to 2,400 Stores
Walmart announced last week that it will be expanding its digital storefront, The Netflix Hub. The expansion brings a new Netflix Streaming Gift card and more opportunities to bring fans closer to the shows they love.
According to a press release published by the company, “Walmart customers will find even more music, apparel, collectibles, games and seasonal items from all their favorite shows and films including “Stranger Things,” “Squid Game,” “The Witcher,” “Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio,” “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” and more.”
Walmart is also taking the phrase “Netflix and chill” to a whole new level by including Concession Kits at The Hub. “From popcorn and confectionary to collectible cups, we’ve created curated kits with everything customers need to amplify the couch-centric viewing experience,” according to the press release.
Netflix previously announced that its third-quarter earnings report far surpassed its forecast of 1 million gained subscribers and ended up raking in 2.41 million subscribers.
Netflix’s new lower-priced ad-supported tier and the release of popular shows and movies like “Stranger Things” and “Purple Hearts” can be accredited with the company’s third-quarter success.
